Eucalyptus preissiana
An attractive compact gum tree that grows up to three metres tall but is often smaller. It has smooth grey mottled bark and broad oval shaped blue-green leaves. The reddish coloured flower buds occur in groups of three and open to reveal large yellow flowers followed by woody bell shaped gumnuts. This is an excellent tree for small gardens and can also be grown in pots, it prefers full sun and sandy well-drained soils.
